Juneteenth Festival Sponsorship

We are writing to cordially invite your organization to join us as a sponsor for the 2026 Play Grow Learn Juneteenth Festival, the only Juneteenth event in Gresham.

The event will be on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Vance Park, located at 1400 SE 182nd Ave,Gresham, Oregon.

To ensure we can continue this vital tradition and expand our impact for Black youth and families in our community, we are seeking financial partnerships and in-kind support for this annual celebration.

Since 2018, Play Grow Learn’s annual Juneteenth celebration has evolved from a small, grassroots gathering into a vibrant, cultural, placemaking event, now serving more than 2,000 community members annually.

This event is the kick-off to the weekly 20-week Sunday People’s Farmers Market, a culturally relevant farmers market in the Rockwood neighborhood in Gresham.

Your sponsorship is a direct investment in the health, connection, and economicvitality of the Black and Brown communities in Multnomah County and beyond.

Why Your Support Matters:

Our festival is more than just a celebration; it is a hub for empowerment and education.

By partnering with us, you help us:

  •   Educate and Inspire: We teach youth about African American history, culture, and achievements through storytelling and interactive activities.

  • Build Healthier Communities: We raise awareness about critical issues like gun violence prevention and substance abuse while providing direct access to health and wellness resources.

  • Strengthen the Local Economy: We showcase local Black businesses and entrepreneurs, helping to build a stronger economic future.

  • Foster Connection: We unite families with over 50 community partners offering essential resources, all while providing a safe space for cultural entertainment, guest speakers, and joy.

If financial sponsorship is not possible at this time, we would still love to have you join us by hosting a table to share your services directly with our community members.

You can register for a table here

Thank you for considering this request. We look forward to the possibility of collaborating with you to build a more connected and equitable future for our families.
