Founded in 2016 by Germaine Flentroy and Anthony Bradley, Play Grow Learn was born out of a shared vision between two devoted fathers and community leaders. Their goal was to create a welcoming and transformative resource hub that supports youth and their families within the community. With a deep commitment to empowerment and nurturing growth, they built an organization dedicated to uplifting the younger generations, helping them thrive both now and in the future. Play Grow Learn continues to be a place where families feel supported, inspired, and connected.

Our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide programs and resources that foster creativity, confidence, and community. Jason helps create a fun and engaging experiences for kids. Outside of camp, he is also a Nutrition Assistant lead, where he supports healthy meals and teamwork everyday.

Alexys is a student at Linfield University, studying nursing with hopes of joining the OBGYN department one day. She has been part of the PGL family for 2 years and is passionate about being a voice for people of color.

Fatuma is a student at Linfield University, studying psychology, and has been with PGL for 2 years. She has quickly become one of the kids’ favorites, known for her kindness, energy, and ability to make every day fun and engaging.

Zoi is a student at Portland State University, studying dentistry, and has been with PGL for 2 years. She loves connecting with each child and bringing creativity and excitement to every activity, making her a beloved part of the PGL team.

Tri is studying engineering at Oregon State University and has been with PGL for 2 years. He enjoys getting to know each child and their interests, making sure every day is fun, engaging, and full of learning.

Keion's goal is to go into a HBCU or a JUCO for basketball. and to major in Kinesiology.

Mekhi is majoring in general studies and Kinesiology at PCC. He also plays basketball and loves to teach the kids the game.
